I thought the word «synthetics» meant «man-made» (so, «artificial»).
So wouldn't that mean that «viscose» being «man-made» is, «artificial»?
Maybe it is just the translation. Did I miss something?
I will now search for this «viscose», using the links in this post, and try it. I do make items in cotton thread, but most women's clothing requires a yarn. You may not realize how helpful this is for me.
[Side note: Even though wool is «natural» I cannot even touch it. I become very sick. Does not seem to matter what type of animal it comes from.]
Thank you again for this. You are so kind. Best Wishes, Tracy
Yet different plants along with different processing will produce various textures. For example the one that was being spoken about here. It «seems» [to me] that some people felt this particular «viscose» is… oh… «slippery»?
When I looked at the site, is sold «viscose» as "Viscose". I suppose there was fiber content info. I will need to read more.
I'm just trying to get the general idea, so, when you get tired of my ignorance, let me know. I will continue to read.
You know much on this subject. Do you work in the industry?
I am on the site mentioned earlier here, and reading. There is much to learn. I find it fascinating.
Thank you so very much!
I just finished reading about flax and how linen fabric is made from it. So «that» is straight in my mind now.
On the yarn site it would say things like: 14% cotton, 27% viscose, & 67% wool (or what ever.) The word «viscose» is being used here to mean — what? — «a % of HYDROLYSIS treated plant fibers» without specifying the «type» of plant(s)? This is a large subject.
Now I am going to read about HYDROLYSIS.
А платье роскошное!!!
