Ah! Yes! A «dicky» for keeping that area warm where many coats/jackets, sweaters, etc. leave a tiny spot where the coldest cold air can sneak in and say, «Peek-a-Boo»!
[My mommy called little places where cold air came in, «Peek-a-Boos», so we would say, «Mommy, I have a 'Peek-a-Boo!».]
This dicky is well designed. Thank you for the idea. It's basic so I can even use it for Crochet.
Yes. Google translates things in funny ways sometimes.
Yet in your comment you referred to «Crocheting» as «hand knitting».
This is hard for me to get used to.
«Crochet» uses a Hook. «Knitting» uses Needles.
They are different arts, yet on this site the term «knit» is used for many different meanings. That is OK. I have figured out most of it. Here in USA we are Very Strict in our usage of terms.
I have to use Google, but what I am trying to say is, even with light weight «cotton» and «bamboo» this sweater would be, [for me at least] too hot to be worn in Summer. Long Sleeves; Thighs Covered (Tunic Length/Short Dress); Closed/Solid Front.
Then again, I have noticed that there are frequently «Summer Coats» presented here on this site. No negativity intended! I don't know about anywhere else in the USA [or the world], but here, in Los Angeles, California, very, very, few people would try to wear a «long sleeved» anything in Our Summer. All this was just my comment about weather and what people wear.
The outfits here tend to lean more toward «Bikinis»! Walking around in ones undies!
