Oh dear! I was reading it wrong! I have heard it before. Raged: To be angry and to express that anger vehemently.
Ragged: a «crooked» line.
Ok. So, as sometimes happens, my brain went crazy.
Be Back Soon! Tee! Hee!
Hi Marina, Thank you for the clarification although, as you can see, the words have been spelt the same. English is an annoying language. There is a word: raged. Notice only one «g» is in it.
I've never seen nor heard of it before. I'm going now to look it up. I understand you now though.
Thank you, Best Wishes, Tracy
You say it is called a «ragged line»? That is a useful term for it. I like the effect.
Now I know you knit with a machine, which I and my mother, found impossible. Do you also hand knit?
Hi! I'm all for a yarn lottery! But I live in the US. You do not ship here. Besides, shipping would cost more than the yarn! It is very nice of you to come up with such a pleasant idea.
If I could participate I would want a thin type, like what is used for Irish Lace or napkins.
Oh! Wow! Intense cables! What would one make with them? The spaces are a bit large for an afghan / blanket; and the cables a bit big for a shawl. But there is nothing to use as a size reference. Maybe they just look big in the photo.
Oh that is a Tremendous amount of frills! Pattern is somewhat dense, so seems to me it would turn out rather heavy. Plus it would stretch, a Lot! No one wore this any longer than it took to take the photograph. Used a similar stitch-pattern for my daughters dress when she was 17. It was at «mini-skirt» length. 3 months later, having worn it only twice, it was below her knees! I had intentionally made it short knowing it would stretch. Blocking just does not cause the stitches to «settle» length-wise.
Hi. You say hook size 7. The only «7» I have is steel and tiny! Is 7 the milimeters? The rug is Grand! [Don't let anyone put their dirty feet on all your lovely hard work! ]
